Bali 2017

Hey guys, I'm so sorry, it's been a while. But I'm back and I'm determined to blog a lot more often from now on. As you may or may not know from my Instagram, I went on a trip to Bali this Summer. One of my new year's resolutions was to do something for myself. So I packed by backpack and went on an organised tour in Bali. Organised by IntroTravel (you should definitely check them out, they are amazing!)

This was my first trip abroad all by myself and I must admit I was terrified! When I first got on to that plane I wanted to turn right back around again and go home. But something inside of me told me that I needed to do this for myself and that I will have an amazing time once I'm all settled in. Fast forward 15 hours and I've landed in Denpasar, got picked up by the tour guide (who by the way was awesome!) and that's where the adventure began.

First couple of days in Bali (Kuta, Uluwatu and Canggu)

Be aware of the monkeys at Uluwatu temple, they are crazy. If they want to take something off you (for example a water bottle) just give it to them. It's not worth fighting a monkey. The monkey will win, trust me!

On our way up to Lovina, we stopped in several different places such as more temples, the famous rice paddies as well as the Git Git Waterfall!

Even though the waterfall is freezing, it is definitely worth to go for a swim in it! One of the most beautiful experiences of my life!

We spent an awesome couple of days in Lovina including snorkelling, dolphin watching, and visiting a local family in their home!

 The food was delicious!!!!

 Heading to Gili T now!!!

Gili T is definitely a party island. Let me tell you, the craziest things go on there. But it was absolutely amazing and I had such a fun time. A must for Bali!

As for the end of our tour, we travelled to Ubud. This picture was taking in the Monkey Forest. To be honest, I was a bit scared of going there but it turned out to be fantastic. There are monkeys all over the place and will jump on top of you and steal your sunglasses or whatever you have with you if you're not careful!

One of the biggest highlights of the tour, was getting up at 2 AM to drive to the bottom of Mount Batur, a volcano on Bali. If was a long, steep and slippery hike but it was all worth it once you get to the top and see the beautiful sunrise whilest sipping on a cup of hot cocoa.

All in all I can say it was a succesful trip and I would do it all over again. Thanks to all the amazing people I got to meet there and you will be missed.

xoxo
